About the ministry

Castillo Family Marriage Ministries & Weddings began with a conviction: the way two people promise their lives to each other shouldn’t depend on what they can afford, or whether the officiant speaks their grandmother’s language. We’re a Texas-registered nonprofit, founded in San Antonio, serving Bexar County and the surrounding area.

Every ceremony is written for the couple in front of us — spiritual or non-religious, traditional or fully custom, English, Spanish, or both in the same breath.

Meet the minister

Joseph M. Castillo is an ordained minister, a husband and father, and a San Antonio native. He officiates in English and Spanish, and he treats a fifteen-minute courthouse signing with the same care as a ninety-minute wedding — because to the two people standing there, it’s the same size moment.

He’s also the founder of Castilloworks, the studio this ministry lives under. The ministry is the part he’d do for free — and for couples who need it, he does.
